It’s easy to rely on a small and trusted few employees to continue your small business. But in order to grow, you need to be constantly recruiting new and talented people. Don’t wait until you need to hire before recruiting.

The most important element of any business, whether it’s a large multibillion-dollar corporation or a small home-based Internet startup, is the people. Major businesses understand that no expense should be spared on recruiting.

Jack Welch, legendary former CEO of GE, and business philosophy guru, makes this the central theme of his business coaching. He emphasizes over and over again—it’s the people that bring you success, not your strategy.

So if you have a small business, you must start recruiting now. It should be your top priority. You want to recruit the best new employees and get rid of the ones that are underperforming.

This is scary for a lot of small business managers. No one wants to have to fire someone. This fear can prevent you from actually taking the risk of hiring people. But don’t let your fears get the best of you.

Remember that recruiting is basically marketing and advertising, except that rathem/travr than trying to sell your product, you’re selling yourself to potential recruits. Place ads regularly on Craigslist and write those posts effectively. Don’t be dissuaded if you get a lot of low quality applicants. Quality comes from quantity.

So do it today. Don’t put it off. Start recruiting today. The growth and future success of your business depends on it.

Kasey Morton blogs extensively on many subjects related to small businesses, marketing, movies, and insurance matters with a particular interest in locum tenens jobs and physician assistant jobs.

Web Design For Beginners

Print This Post Print This Post

Web design for beginners is very important if you want to be able to get your website online quickly, easily, and efficiently. While Web design can seem intimidating at first, if you have a step-by-step guide to help you through the process you will feel like an expert in no time.

The first thing you need to understand when building your own site is that it needs to be user friendly. There are too many people who think they can just throw up any website and make sales and attract people. That’s yet another reason why you need a course or expert to guide you through. That’s because getting the site up is just one of the steps — making it user-friendly so that people actually want to visit and stick around is also very important.

If you think about how much your time is worth, it will probably become very clear that a design course full of web design basics is the answer for you. Of course, you might be worried about the expense. The good news is that there are courses out there that are cost efficient and will literally guide you through every single step of the way. This will cut down on the time it takes you to get your site ready for the world, so you can start making money and getting visitors faster than you ever thought possible.

Web design for beginners will help get you started on the right path to creating your website. There is nothing better than knowing that you have a site out there that makes you money and attracts visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days per year.

The Ultimate Search Engine Loophole

Dave Kelly has been doing Search Engine Optimization for the past decade and has now found out how MSN search rates its pages.  He is now releasing this method so you too can benefit.  It’s called the Ultimate Search Engine Loophole, it’s an MSN ranking loophole.

The Ultimate Search Engine Loophole is a proven way to get to number one in MSN.  By following Dave’s unique method, you can basically guarantee your success in SEO.

The Ultimate Search Engine Loophole combines Dave’s proven SEO strategies along with some automated techniques that let your site go to the first page of MSN.

Most folks keep on trying to get to the first page in Google, but Google has so much competition and their search methods change a lot, so that makes it more difficult.  MSN doesn’t change much at all, so it’s easy to know how it works.  There is also less competition on MSN, so that makes it easier too.

MSN has fewer searches, but they still have a lot of traffic, and since it’s easier to rate well on MSN, especially with Dave’s automated methods, that makes it easier to have success with MSN.

How To Write a Good Headline

Print This Post Print This Post

As a member of the internet marketing industry, we want make sure you are getting the most out of your advertising dollar. Knowing HOW to advertise can improve your chances tremendously in making a profit.

One of the misconceptions that new marketers believe is that you can send your ad to ANYONE and OMEONE will buy. As long as you put your ad in front of a lot of people, someone ought to buy your product. There may be *some* truth to that but…

…this is not necessarily true.

There are a lot of variables in the sales process that makes a person buy your product or service. Getting these variables correct improves the chances that people will buy your product or service over and over again.

For example, did you know that there are certain words that actually trigger the spam filters and prevents your email from getting through to your prospect?

Words like "money" or phrases like "click here" get flagged by email spam filters and they stop your email ad from getting through. So if your email ad doesn’t get through, it is impossible to make a sale.

We will cover this topic in more detail in another article, but we just wanted to give you an example of the variables you are dealing with.

Here is today’s lesson from Daniel Levis.

=======================================================
The Amazing Profit Power of Headlines!
=======================================================

Did you know, that it’s literally impossible to stop thinking? If you don’t believe me, try it.

There’s an incessant conversation going on inside our heads, only a portion of which we are even aware.

At any given point in time, there are a number of major themes playing themselves out.

You’ll have a hell of a time selling anything, until you can find a way to enter the conversation. And it’s your opening, or Headline, that gets you in.

Have you ever visited a web site and found yourself wondering what to click on?

Every page should have a headline shouldn’t it?

Something that telegraphs the benefits that you can expect, if you stick around. Studies prove that if a web site visitor doesn’t find something that engages her interest in 6 seconds or less, she’s out of there. Never make the all too common assumption that your prospects are going to carefully examine, consider, or navigate the content on your web site, just because it’s there. Human nature at work again, right?  Falling in love with our own babies.

Remember this, your customers don’t give a rat’s a** about your business, or your products, or your web site, unless it gratifies them to do so. And they demand instant gratification! So give it them, with your Headline.

Your  Headline is THE most important thing about any web page, or for that matter any form of media, including all forms of advertising, editorial, press release, signage, a restaurant menu, you name it. It doesn’t matter how good the main body of the message is, if nobody reads it.

It amazes me how rare it is to visit a commercial web site that makes use of great headlines.

‘What Makes A Great Headline?’

Let me give you a couple of hints. A good headline is about your customer’s situation. A great headline enters the conversation already going on in her mind, and leaves no doubt about how she can benefit from reading the main body of the text.

Suppose you were selling a colic remedy.

‘Are You a Young Mom with a Colicky New Born, Looking for a Good Nights Sleep?’

Doesn’t this appeal to one of her greatest human needs? Self Preservation. Do you think she’ll invest a few
more minutes to sell herself on the product, by reading the rest of the copy?

A great headline takes advantage of human curiosity. Suppose you were selling women’s clothing.

‘Don’t Make These Embarrassing Fashion Faux Pas!’

She’ll be thinking, Hmm, I wonder what kind of embarrassing fashion faux pas I might be making?

A good headline is NOT about you! It’s NOT

‘We Have the Highest Quality Merchandise, with Great Service Selection, and Everyday Low Prices!’

As consumers, aren’t we bombarded by this kind of meaningless platitude all day long, day in and day out? It rolls off the human psyche like water off a ducks back.

Appeal to human instincts in your headlines, and your copy, and watch your business grow! But don’t try to reinvent the wheel.

Until then, Good Selling!

Basics of dealing with a drop shipper

Print This Post Print This Post

What exactly is a drop shipper? How can you locate one? What are the Ups and Downs?

If you are running an Internet store the best idea is to have some of your products to be drop shipped from your supplier. Note: not all your products, that would be very risky, but the largest and heaviest of them would be a good idea.

The Ups: no storage or shipping issues and no inventory investment!

The Downs: the profit margins are thinner than if you were purchasing in volume. They are wholesale prices on single items, rather than bulk lots. Also, you have less control over shipping. Any late deliveries or poorly packaged products will reflect badly on your business.

The best way to find real drop shipper is only one: to attend their tradeshow. You can check trade magazines for information about wholesale suppliers in your area. Call them and ask if they do drop ship.

Then comes the worst part - most manufacturers aren’t anxious to sell to online businesses. They make their money selling in volume. You might be lucky finding one after being rejected several dozen times. And even worse if you are an eBay seller - most wholesalers restrict selling their goods on eBay.

One important thing to ask your drop shipper is if they put your business name on package invoices, inserts, or labels. That is not very important but that could make the drop shipper invisible to your buyers, and your home based business will look bigger than it actually is.

Finding genuine drop shipper and establishing relationship is a long process that requires patience and a willingness to do the work. The best practice is to buy wholesale lots of smaller items and have some bigger items drop shipped to your customers.

This technique will let you add more products to your Internet store without large investment.

Since you want to get started with real estate careers it can be helpful to know exactly what the outlook for jobs are. In these days you want to make sure you get started on the right career path so you know you will always have security. The good news is that real estate has great business outlook.

If you think about it, it really makes since that the government predicts average to better than average growth for real estate careers. There will always be people who are looking to buy or sell their residential and commerical property. People will always need a place to live and conduct business.

That doesn’t mean, however, that being a real estate agent means stead commissions all the time. There are definitely ups and downs that come along with being an agent. The winter periods, for example, are widely known to be slower periods where there are fewer housing and development deals being made.

The good news is that during the busy periods you can make quite a lot of money. When it’s slower you can take more of a break and do the things you want to do. It all evens out to become a pretty nice situation. All in all, if you’re interested in this kind of job you really can’t go wrong. The outlook for real estate careers is excellent!
