Here is an article, appearently a very popular one as well, that I recently stumbled upon on in google while searching for some information related to background checks. It is not a very long article but it gives us some good insight in the reasons for doing background checks and the necessity of doing background checks in today’s evolving, fast-forward world where people move, cross borders and meet new people in more and more new ways at an ever increasing pace. For instance, only some ten years ago, doing a public county background check on someone might be a good idea if you were going to hire someone to work for you, having a new person rent a part of your house or employ a new nanny for your kids. You would easily find out if that person was convicted for something, if they had lived where the said they have resided and so forth. in today’s world these public county are more or less useless; people move across county and country borders more and more often and your new boyfriend may have lived in a variety of states before he met you. A county check in Broward might have been a good idea if he only lived in Broward but what if he lived in other parts of Flordia as well? What he have lived and worked all across the US? …or even Europe? The only way to find out if someone is actually telling the truth is by doing a paid or maybe a (preliminary at least-) free criminal background check.
Nomatter, wheter you plan to run a home business, hire someone to take care of your kids or hire someone as an employer in a big multi-million company; doing background checks is crucial!
